First Lady Melania Trump had no idea what was about to hit her.

No one could believe the situation had reached this point.

And now, Melania Trump just got slapped with the worst news of her life.

Democrats are still fishing around to try to manufacture the Epstein files into a scandal for President Trump.

President Trump was vindicated in calling the files a “hoax” about them not containing any damaging information about him, as well as for the fact that Democrats and the media didn’t care about the files for the last four years when Joe Biden was President.

But that doesn’t mean Democrats are ready to throw in the towel.

Republicans deposed Bill and Hillary Clinton about their ties to Epstein.

That left Democrats seeking revenge.

And Congressman Robert Garcia (D-CA) told CNN’s John Berman that if Democrats win the majority in November, they will drag Melania Trump before them for questioning in a witch hunt about Epstein.

“By that standard, Congressman, why wouldn’t you also ask First Lady Melania Trump about what she knows or knew about the relationship between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein?” Berman asked.

“Well, I think that’s the question, because right now, the House Republicans have set a new precedent,” Garcia replied. “And that new precedent now includes bringing in for depositions presidents, former presidents, and first ladies, and then asking those first ladies, as they did yesterday, about how their husbands felt and about what their husbands were doing, which, quite frankly, some of the questioning yesterday was not appropriate. I think the public will see that when the transcript is fully released. But yes, there’s a precedent now.”

Democrats can’t subpoena President Trump.

Separation of powers prevents Congress from subpoenaing a sitting President.

Garcia was just feeding the left-wing base red meat by claiming otherwise.

“We now want President Trump to come in and to testify under oath in front of the Oversight Committee. We want the first lady, who we know had a relationship as well with Jeffrey Epstein, to come in under oath and testify to the Oversight Committee,” Garcia added.

But Melania Trump is on that list because Democrats know it will allow their media allies to keep this fake scandal about Trump alive to dominate headlines and social media.

“We’re going to have a very long list of people. Anyone that we believe had a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein on day one will have a subpoena from our committee,” Garcia added.

Democrats are playing with fire, though.

That’s because the left can’t help but keep spreading lies about Melania and Epstein.

Party strategist James Carville issued an apology under threat of a defamation lawsuit after falsely claiming that Epstein helped introduce Trump to Melania.

The Daily Beast retracted a similar story and apologized to Melania to avoid a lawsuit as well.

If Democrats depose Melania Trump, they run the risk of this hoax blowing up in their faces for a third time.
