Democrats thought they were rid of Kamala Harris after President Trump routed her in 2024.

But now Kamala Harris is plotting a comeback.

And Kamala Harris is forcing Democrats to make one bad choice they will live to regret.

Kamala Harris continues to drop hints that she plans to run for President again.

Polls show Kamala Harris is the frontrunner for the 2028 Democratic Party Presidential nomination.

Kamala built her polling strength on the basis of her support among black voters, the most loyal and critical piece of the Democratic Party coalition.

Democrats across the board know nominating Kamala Harris dooms the party to defeat in 2028

Voters rejected her twice, in 2020 and 2028, and Democrats understand that Kamala is still the same unqualified, incompetent leftist who flopped in both of her Presidential runs.

But Democrats also know they may have no choice but to nominate Kamala if she runs.

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith explained the party’s predicament in an interview with Megyn Kelly, saying that Kamala dropped out before a single primary vote was cast in 2020 and Trump routed her in 2024 despite Kamala raising $1.5 billion.

“Essentially, by default, that means Kamala Harris could be at the top of the heap. I don’t, I don’t, I think that would be a mistake, obviously, because I think that she’s had her chance, or bites at the apple, not just once but twice in 2020, she couldn’t even make it to Iowa. In this last election, you had 107 days, that’s true, but you also had $1.5 billion, you understand, and you were to upgrade from Joe Biden, and you still managed to lose that,” Smith began.

Smith also admitted Kamala would have a tough time running the party after she published a book to take potshots at her rivals, like California Governor Gavin Newsom and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

“I don’t know how the Democratic Party will rally behind her being the candidate yet again, particularly after her book was calling out Josh Shapiro one minute, Gavin Newsom the other, etc., etc., but who knows,” Smith added.

But Smith explained that Democrats didn’t yank the nomination away from Kamala in 2024 and give it to candidates like Shapiro or Newsom because party leaders feared doing so would alienate black women voters.

“So here’s the interesting thing, the Democrats are going to be in a position if they don’t select her, which is the same one they tried to avoid when Biden was forced out: They did not want to be seen as stepping over a black woman, given how important black women are to Democrat elections,” Smith continued. “So they, there was a large segment of the Democratic, you know, political class saying, we have no choice, we’ve got to give it to her, she’s the sitting vice president, like, if we try to bypass her for a Josh Shapiro or somebody like that, we’re gonna get killed,” Smith continued.

Smith went on to say that these are the same candidates planning to run in 2028, so Democrats will face the same dilemma all over again, which means Democrats will have to nominate Kamala Harris by default and head into the general election with a substandard candidate.

“You cannot bypass a black woman, female, like the, the, the VP for a Josh Shapiro, white guy,” Smith said. “Well, now we’re gonna have a primary this time around, and If she gets bypassed, in other words, doesn’t win, and she loses to the guy who’s in the number two position, who is a white straight male Christian, Gavin Newsom, are they in the same position of having to look like they cast her aside?” Smith concluded.
