Democrats are eying the midterm election as their chance to end the Trump Presidency.

The left isn’t leaving anything to chance.

And Chuck Schumer hatched one nefarious plot to rig the 2026 election.

Democrats need to flip four seats in both the House and the Senate to reclaim the majority.

Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries controlling Congress means Democrats will defund mas deprottions, block all Trump nominees, especially Supreme Court picks, and impeach Trump for a third time.

The map in the Senate that Democrats face is daunting: to win the majority, Democrats need to flip seats in ruby-red states like Ohio, Alaska, Texas, and Iowa.

A series of court decisions knocking down a new 10-1 Democratic map in Virginia and allowing red states in the south to end racial gerrymanders boosted the GOP’s chances of holding the House.

But Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt warned that Schumer and Jeffries are holding one secret weapon, and that’s shutting down the government when funding runs out on September 30 to create chaos in the country and turn voters against Republicans.

Schmitt told reporters that “the most under-reported thing … out there,” before going on to say “this is not your grandfather’s Democrat party. They’re hellbent on chaos, and they think chaos is their friend. It’s not good for the American people, but if they think that can get them a short-term leg up in November, they’ll do it.” 

Democrats pulled this stunt ahead of the 2025 New Jersey and Virginia elections by staging the longest government shutdown in history.

It worked, as Democrats won gubernatorial elections in both by double digits.

Schmitt said to head off this dirty trick, Republicans needed to “make it painful for them [congressional Democrats] if they want to do that, because the American people suffer.”

The Missouri Republican warned Republicans on the Appropriations Committee that this crop of Democrats was “legislative terrorists” who were even more radical than the Democrats in the days of Ted Kennedy.

“Despite what many of my appropriator friends want to believe, this is a new world, this is a new era,” Schmitt continued. “This isn’t Ted Kennedy working with somebody on some bill: They’re legislative terrorists at this point. And look, you think about what they’re willing to do with ICE. It’s just an extension of defund the police.” 

Schmitt also theorized that Schumer would shut down the government in the hopes of booking like a hero to the left to ward off a primary challenge from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2028.

“I don’t think he’s gonna be majority leader, but I think he thinks the politics are good for him,” Schmitt added

“They’re really capitulating to this more radicalized base that they have,” Schmitt concluded.
