Polls show Kamala Harris is the frontrunner for the 2028 Democrat Party Presidential nomination.

Many Democrats are waiting on her decision.

And Kamala Harris is hiding one White House plot that sent shockwaves through Democrats.

Aides Bet Kamala Harris Won’t Run for President in 2028

The RealClearPolitics polling aggregator shows Kamala Harris as Democrats’ top choice to be their party’s nominee in 2028.

Polls show that Kamala dominates with black voters, the foundation of the party’s coalition.

Despite her polling lead and the fact that the Democrat establishment rigged the 2028 primary in her favor by frontloading the calendar with South Carolina, Michigan and Virginia, all states with large black populations, Kamala hasn’t made up her mind about running.

And Kamala’s closest aides don’t think she’s running.

Axios reported that “This week, we surveyed eight former Harris aides and advisers, including those who worked for her at a senior level, to get their most up-to-date read. Only one thought Harris probably will run. Two said it’s a coin-flip, and five said she likely won’t.”

Kamala’s aides claimed she wouldn’t run because big donors see her as a bad bet after losing to Trump in a landslide in 2024, Kamala doesn’t really have the heart for another run, her recent purchase of an $8 million Malibu mansion meant she was retreating from politics, and that any campaign would focus on her failures in 2020 and 2024.

Democrats Kamala Problem

Because of her position as a former Vice President, Kamala Harris can freeze the 2028 field by taking her time deciding whether she’s running.

“There will be a lot of people who will feel a lot of urgency to announce as soon as possible,” a former aide told Axios. “I think the vice president doesn’t necessarily have to be on that timeline.”

Kamala is betting that if she decides to run, big money donors will be obligated to support her.

And until she makes up her mind, that means they can’t commit to other candidates like California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Some of Kamala’s aides also admitted they were trying to will her not running into existence.

“I think there’s a lot of wishcasting that maybe Kamala will come to her senses and not do it,” another aide told Axios.

This is because even Kamala’s former aides didn’t think she could win a general election.

“But many former aides who think Harris would be a good president say they don’t want her to run again because they seriously doubt she could win, given her record. One way to view their arguments: They’re trying to persuade her to stay out of the race,” Axios reported.

Ever since Joe Biden named Kamala his running mate in 2020, Democrats have faced a Kamala problem they can’t solve.

That’s because Democrats are the DEI party, and Kamala’s status as a black woman means party leaders will face the wrath of large portions of their base if they move to dump her.
