President Trump dropped the hammer on the fake news media.

Trump was fed up with 10 years of hoaxes, hit pieces, and smears.

And Donald Trump banned CNN, and you won’t believe what Melania did next.

Trump Bans the Fake News from the White House

Trump announced he was banning three of the worst fake news offenders, CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO, from the White House over their blatant liberal bias.

“I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them “alive,” Trump posted to Truth Social.

Trump went on to say that these outlets led the charge of leftist propaganda posing as media, and they no longer deserved the privilege of special access to the White House.

“Seems like corruption to me!), from the White House as a result of their constant “reporting” FAKE NEWS! Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America. Other Fake News Media Outlets to follow,” Trump added.

Trump Defends His Ban

Courts previously upheld Trump’s ban on the Associated Press from the Oval Office, ruling that Trump had the right to limit press access to non-public areas of the White House.

Trump defended his press ban, saying he singled out these three outlets because he saw them as anti-Trump opposition rather than legitimate news outlets.

“Because they’re fake news,” Trump told reporters during a question-and-answer session in the Oval Office. “You get so tired of reading and seeing fake news. When you look at CNN, it’s just fake. That’s why their ratings are no good. When you look at MS NOW…, it’s fake news.”

“And when you look at Politico … the stories they wrote are fake. So there’s a lot of news, and there may be others to join them, and maybe they can get better,” Trump continued. “But our country has to have honest news.”

Melania Trump Bolsters the Case

First Lady Melania Trump then credentialed CNN to cover her events at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

“The office of the first lady formally approved CNN’s and Politico’s press credentials for a Tuesday event on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly about expanding her “Fostering the Future Together” coalition, an effort aimed at promoting children’s well-being with education and technology.

CNN’s credential for Tuesday’s event was approved on Sunday evening, one day after the president’s ban went into effect. The three national news outlets filed a critical First Amendment lawsuit to restore their access, and a hearing is scheduled for Wednesday,” CNN reported.

Fake news media outlets seized on this to try and claim there was friction between the President and First Lady.

In reality, the First Lady bolstered the President’s argument.

The administration contended it wasn’t trying to shut down the free press and that CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO had every right and ability to cover the administration.

But Trump maintained that the fake news media outlets didn’t deserve special access to the White House that other media outlets in the press corps earned.
