This was the last thing President Trump needed to deal with.

But there is no avoiding it now.

And one unthinkable sex scandal led to this disturbing revelation that could ruin Trump.

Bombshell new text messages obtained by 24sitenews appear to corroborate allegations that Texas Congressman Tony Gonzalez carried on an affair with former staffer Regina Santos-Aviles.

The messages showed Gonzalez pressuring Santos-Aviles to send him a “sexy pic” and demanding she tell him her favorite sexual positions.

Santos-Aviles committed suicide last September by dousing herself with gasoline and setting herself on fire after Gonzalez froze her out.

But House Speaker Mike Johnson won’t force Gonzalez to resign because any open seats would shrink the GOP’s four-seat margin even further, putting Democrats within reach of claiming the majority even before the elections.

Democrats seizing power in the House would signal the end of President Trump’s agenda and herald the beginning of an endless series of investigations.

Johnson told Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman that he needed to let “all the facts” play out in the Johnson case.

“I think, as in every case, you have to allow the investigations to play out and all the facts to come out. I’ve been intellectually consistent about this. Whether you’re talking about Republicans or Democrats, you have to let the system play out. I was against, for example, the expulsion of George Santos. … Because he had been accused of a crime and indicted but not found guilty,” Johnson stated.

“If the accusation of something is going to be the litmus test for someone being able to continue to serve in the house, a lot of people would have to resign or be removed or expelled from Congress. So I think you gotta allow this to play out. I think it is very serious. The allegations are clearly very serious, and Tony Gonzales will address them — I think he will,” Johnson added.

But that didn’t stop other conservative lawmakers from demanding Gonzalez, who supports amnesty, gun control, and compared Trump supporters to the KKK, to resign.

Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert led the charge.

Tennessee conservative Tim Burchett quickly joined in.

“Well, the legal process, of course, but I think he should, he should do the right thing and resign,” Burchett told reporters.

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fl) demanded accountability.

“The entire Texas delegation, as well as every single other Member of Congress, should be condemning a sitting Member of Congress asking for explicit photos of their staff. As a woman, this is really disgusting to see. Not to mention, it brings dishonor on the House of Representatives. I am so sick of people not calling this crap out. Again, like I’ve said before, this is not the only case of this crap up here. @RepTonyGonzales, shame on you,” Luna wrote on X.

Accountability for Gonzlaez may arrive at the ballot box.

Polls show Gonzalez trailing conservative challenger Brandon Herrera in their March 3 primary.
