New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been treated like the leader of the Democratic Party ever since she entered Congress.

That all began to change thanks to one massive misstep.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faced an ugly revolt after this shocking video went viral.

When Ocasio-Cortez demanded Democrats defund the police and ICE, her fellow party members fell in line.

No member of Congress received more fawning media coverage than Ocasio-Cortez.

Now that Ocasio-Cortez is prepping the groundwork for a 2028 Presidential campaign, the arrows are coming out among Democrats.

Ocasio-Cortez created the first crisis of her political career with an incomprehensible answer at the Munich Security Conference about whether the United States should commit troops to defend Taiwan if Communist China launches an invasion.

“Umm, you know, I think that, uh — this is such a, a — you know, I think that — this is a, umm — this is, of course, uh, a very longstanding, umm, policy of the United States, uh, and I think that what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure we never get to that point, and we want to make sure we are moving in all of our economic, research, and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation and for that question to even arise,” Oasio-Cortez stated.

The video went viral on social media with Republicans mocking Ocasio-Cortez for being a lightweight.

Foreign policy is the one area where the President possesses the most power to act unilaterally.

And voters aren’t going to elect anyone President who can’t string two sentences together, laying out a coherent policy on whether America will commit to the first shooting war between two nuclear powers.

Former Chicago Mayor, Obama chief of staff, and Joe Biden ambassador to India, Rahm Emmanuel dinged Ocasio-Cortez as unprepared to serve as President in an interview with POLITCO where he also attacked Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“Do I think other people handled themselves well on the world stage?” Emanuel told reporter Adam Wren. “As somebody who has served time in the Indo-Pacific, I don’t think so — but I’ll just leave you with the Secretary of State and the vice president.”

Ocasio-Cortez’s presidential rivals seizing on the chance to knife her in the press is no surprise.

But party elites were also turned off by Ocasio-Cortez’s bellyflop.

Democrat Party strategist Dan Turrentine said on The Huudle that Ocasio-Cortez’s answer brought up unflattering comparisons to Kamala Harris.

“[W]hat it was a reminder of is you’re now on the big stage. This is not a union hall in Queens … Her team hyped her appearance. She froze like a deer in headlights … I saw all the [former Vice President] Kamala Harris references online … I don’t think this is going to end her career,” Turrentine stated.

Turrentine added that what stood out to him was how Ocasio-Cortez adopted a bunker mentality and that there was no one defending her online despite her having one of the most robust and loyal social media operations.

“But what I found fascinating was how she and her team reacted. She canceled media appearances on Saturday. There was nobody online defending her,” Turrentine added.

“Even on the left, if you went to Bluesky, there was not kind of — like if [President Donald] Trump does something like this … if you even so much as mock him, comes back at you with a baseball bat,” Turrentine continued.

Americans won’t trust someone with the Presidency they don’t think can keep them safe.

And Turrentine said Ocasio-Cortez’s Munch performance showed she wasn’t ready for primetime.

“She had no defenders. She froze not just on the stage, but she froze off the stage and basically slinked back to the United States. And to me, that was a sign that she is not ready for this,” Turrentine concluded.
