Vice President JD Vance continues to show why polls show him as the 2028 frontrunner.

Democrats are running scared.

And JD Vance just dropped the hammer on Tim Walz with this bold move no one saw coming.

President Trump named Vance as the head of an anti-fraud task force after Elon Musk, and DOGE revealed that as much as 20 percent of the federal budget was flushed down the drain on scams.

The poster child for fraud turned out to be in Minnesota, where Somali con artists looted $9 billion in taxpayer money as part of a Medicaid scam.

But Vance wasn’t content just to punish the scammers and wanted the politicians who enabled the fraud held accountable.

That’s why Vance announced he was referring Governor Tim Walz and State Attorney General Keith Ellison to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution.

“I’ve referred these allegations to DOJ’s new Fraud Division for criminal investigation. Minnesota state officials are not above the law, and if they facilitated fraud, lied under oath about what they knew, or harassed and intimated whistleblowers, they must face justice,” Vance wrote on X.

Vance’s criminal referral for Walz and Ellison came in the wake of a House Oversight Committee report, which stated that Walz and Ellison were “aware of widespread taxpayer fraud in federally funded social programs for years,”  which led to $300 million in federal child nutrition funds and the $9 billion in medicaid dollars, which were “lost” or “placed at serious risk.”

Ellison and Walz immediately flew into panic mode,

“It is deeply troubling to see official powers and public resources diverted away from serving the people and instead aimed at pursuing political adversaries,” Ellison ranted. “That is not what government is for, and it diminishes public trust in our institutions.”

“This committee has proven time and time again to be nothing more than a joke. They continue to rehash COVID-era fraud to distract from endless wars, gas prices, ICE, and the President’s insider trading. Governor Walz is glad to see fraudsters are going to prison,”  a statement from Walz’s spokesman Teddy Tschann read.

The Trump administration isn’t just worried about election fraud.

America faces a $39 trillion national debt.

Cracking down on fraud schemes to bilk taxpayers is an easy first step towards restoring fiscal sanity in America.
