President Trump is in the middle of one of the biggest fights of his Presidency.
The future of his administration and the country is at stake.
And John Kennedy admitted one thing about Trump that stunned a Fox News host into silence.
The feud between Trump and RINOs in the U.S. Senate just escalated.
Trump is growing more furious by the day with Senate Republicans continually sabotaging his agenda.
The Senate passed a War Powers Act resolution restricting Trump’s ability to conduct military operations against Iran. It refused to terminate the filibuster to end Democratic obstruction and pass the SAVE Act.
This battle reached a crescendo during a fiery appearance by Trump at a Senate GOP luncheon.
Trump notched one victory when he convinced enough Republicans to switch their votes and reject the War Powers Act resolution after explaining that rebuking him would hamper his ability to negotiate a peace deal with Iran.
Senator Kennedy told Fox News host Dana Perino that he was relieved the President won that round.
“We won it last night. I’m much relieved. You have to understand what these resolutions are. They’re resolutions by the Democrats to direct the president to cut and run in Iran,” Kennedy stated.
But then Kennedy got the bad news: Trump came into the meeting, rip-roaring mad, over the Senate’s refusal to pass the SAVE Act, which Trump said is necessary to prevent election fraud.
And what galled Trump, Kennedy explained, was the fact that it was his fellow Republicans tanking the SAVE Act.
“That’s why our meeting with the president was like an episode out of Euphoria. He came in smoking hot, and I’m not talking about his looks. I mean, put yourself in his position. He’s negotiating with Iran, and all of a sudden, Congress, with Republicans’ help, pulls the rug out from under him,” Kennedy added.
Kennedy went on to say that he shares the President’s desire to pass the SAVE Act, but that RINOs in the Senate like Thom Tillis, Mitch McConnell, and Lisa Murkowski are dug in on their opposition.
“What I took away, in part, from the meeting was that the president really wants a SAVE Act. I mean, I think at this point, even your neighborhood squirrels understand that. And I wanted to. I offered it as an amendment to our last vote-a-rama, and I didn’t get enough votes. I’m open to any approach that we need to follow,” Kennedy continued.
Other Republicans echoed Trump’s frustration with the Senate.
“Man, the Senate sucks,” Florida Congressman Byron Donalds told reporters. “I’m just going to come out and say it: They suck.”
Donalds said that it was unthinkable that Senate Republicans refused to pass the SAVE Act by any means necessary, considering 80 percent of the American people support its provisions about voter ID and requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote.
“This is not hard,” Donald exclaimed. “Eighty percent of the American people want the SAVE Act to pass. Not 80% of Republicans — 80% of the American people. And the only organization that refuses to act is the United States Senate.”
