Trump Ramps Up Attacks on Democrats as Communists

Former Hardball host Chris Matthews told MS NOW that Trump plans to frame the election as a referendum on Democrats as Marxists since Democrat Socialist of America (DSA) candidates racked up victory after victory in the primaries.

“They’re going to come up with something dirty. They’re going to try to make all Democrats into something like the Marxist wing of the DSA. They’re going to try to make it really bad. And they’re going to make it nasty like they did with the going after the trans kids in the last election. Just remember, people on the sidelines of an NFL game, all of a sudden, they’re watching this new ad in the third quarter of the game. Where’d that ad come from? What’s all this about?” Matthews stated.

Democrats are making it easy for Trump to paint them as Marxists by nominating so many DSA candidates, as the DSA’s platform calls for the government to seize control over private businesses.

Trump hammered this message home during a recent event on Long Island where Trump blasted the Democrats as a collection of ‘Godless communists’ out to destroy the United States.

 “They’re not smart enough or tough enough to fight the plague that is happening right before your very eyes … They are becoming a Communist party – not social Democrats. They are core communists,” Trump stated.

“All communists are godless. They do not believe in God … These ruthless communists attack all religions, but in particular Christianity. They always do. They’re after Christianity more than any other religion,” Trump added.

The DSA is once again validating Trump’s attacks as the party platform calls for abolishing the Senate, the Supreme Court, the Presidency, ICE, prisons and America’s borders.

Matthews Claims Communist Attacks Won’t Work on AOC

Matthews then admitted the attack was likely to work as Democrats nominated DSA candidates like Florida Senate nominee Angie Nixon, who called for abolishing ICE, defunding the police and ending all deportations.

But Matthews claimed this line of attack wouldn’t stick against AOC, whom Matthews described as “American as apple pie.”

“And I can see they could do something with the DSA, and they’re going to make them into real Marxists. They’re going to play the game. Personally, I think AOC is as American as apple pie. It won’t work with her. It may work with some others. But I think they’re going to get nasty, and I think it’s going to be a really great close,” Matthews remarked.

Ocasio-Cortez supports defunding the police, abolishing ICE and opening the border.

Liberals like Matthews want to whitewash Ocasio-Cortez’s record to make her more palatable to voters ahead of her expected 2028 Presidential campaign.
