Democrats think they have to fight President Trump at every turn.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul found out just how foolish that strategy can be.

And Kathy Hochul’s Knicks attack on Trump just became her most embarrassing moment ever.

President Trump’s hometown New York Knicks advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 as the team completed an historic romp through the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

The Knicks won 11 straight games by the largest margin of victory in any 11-game stretch in NBA history, be it regular or postseason play.

Attending the NBA Finals at the Famed Madison Square Garden is now the hottest ticket in sports, with Newsday reporting that two courtside seats are going for $595,000.

During a cabinet meeting, President Trump revealed that Knicks owner James Dolan invited him to attend a finals game at the Garden, and that as a lifelong Knicks fan, he would be thrilled to attend.

“I was invited to that,” Trump told reporters. “I was going to go on Wednesday, but they closed it out very quickly.”

“Boy, what a team!” Trump said. “They win all their games. They have some great players. I think I’ll be going to one of the games. I was invited by numerous people, and Jim, and I think I’ll be going.”

Trump noted that, between 2002 and 2020, the Knicks were one of the NBA’s laughingstocks for nearly 20 years, and that he would be thrilled to attend.

“It’s great to see it. The Knicks have really suffered for years. They’re doing very well right now,” Trump added.

A reporter asked New York’s Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul about Trump being a lifelong Knicks fan.

“What do you say to President Trump saying he’s a lifelong Knicks fan?” the reporter wondered.

Hochul thought she could use the occasion ot dunk on Trump and mock him as a frontrunner, but she ended up bricking Knicks history.

“I’d ask him to name the starting lineup of the 1993 Championship team and see how he does,” Hochul sneered.

It was Hochul who looked like the bufoon, as all Knicks fans know the team hasn’t won a title since 1973.

The 1993 Knicks lost in the Eastern Conference Finals to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.

Trump’s been a fixture at Knicks games for years.

It wasn’t hard to find footage of Trump on camera bantering with famed sportscaster Marv Albert when the Knicks played the Houston Rockets in the 1994 NBA Finals.

But Trump wasn’t only around for the good times.

Trump stuck with the Knicks through thick and thin as he attended multiple games during the 2004-2005 season, a desultory campaign in the team’s dark ages when they went 33-49.
