President Trump possesses a knack for the unexpected.

That’s one of Trump’s political super powers.

And now Trump dropped one shocking surprise that just achieved the unthinkable.

Trump campaigned for office on a promise to avoid the kind of forever wars in the Middle East that past Presidents trapped America in.

When Trump launched the war with Iran, Trump made clear his only goal was preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and that he didn’t support a regime change effort where America deployed hundreds of thousands of troops to wage an open-ended conflict to install democracy in the Middle East, even though that was the objective for Israel and many neoconservatives.

Trump stuck true to his word and announced a deal with Iran to end the war that Trump said would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, bring down gas prices, and one in which Iran pledged it would never obtain nuclear weapons.

“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!” Trump posted in Truth Social.

In a subsequent post, Trump emphasized that his deal would secure peace where past Presidents failed.

“This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region. Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me,” Trump added.

“The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace. With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!” Trump continued.

But neoconservative warmongers were furious.

The Daily Wire’s Ben Domenech attacked Trump and Vice President JD Vance as Obama-style appeasers.

“This deal and everything we know about it to the degree it is being spun by this administration—everything about this deal seems bad to me. It all seems like a setback. It doesn’t meet any of the measures the president put out there of his goals for this conflict. At some point the Republican Party needs to decide which kind of foreign policy it’s going to have. An American first policy… Or are we going to backslide into being some kind of ‘hillbilly Obama’ kind of GOP?” Domenech ranted on Fox News.

Fox News host Mark Levin also attacked Trump for negotiating with Iran to end the war, claiming it was an insult to Israel.

“Appalling. They fought beside us. Now, we celebrate talks with the enemy, and the enemy knows more than our ally. This is shocking,” Levin wrote on X.

Many of the war’s staunchest supporters, like Levin, were Never Trumpers who only pretended to support Trump asl ong as he delivered on war with Iran.

Trump putting America First and negotiating an end to the war forced them to show their true colors.
