Democrats have spent ten years bombarding Americans with the claim that President Trump is historically corrupt and that he and his family are using the Presidency to enrich themselves.

Obama admitted that was a lie in remarks during an episode of his A Great Book with Barack Obama, a six-part audiobook series on Amazon.

The former President came clean and admitted the government right now under Trump and the Republican Party is less corrupt than it ever has been.

“People are always surprised when I tell them the federal government is so much less corrupt than probably it’s ever been, in terms of just pure bribes or patronage or favors,” Obama stated.

Obama then said the lack of corruption made it harder for the swamp to bribe politicians into passing big government schemes.

“It’s part of the reason why things got a little harder to get done because that was sort of some lubrication … to help to bridge some of the ideological differences that were out there,” Obama added.

Democrats Were Counting on Running On Corruption Talking Point in 2026 and 2026

Democrats looking to capture Congressional majorities in 2026 and the White House in 2028 were counting on putting so-called “corruption at the center of their messaging.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker wants to run for President in 2028.

Pritzker hoped to curry favor with the socialist base by ranting that Trump oversaw “the most corrupt presidency that we’ve seen in our lifetimes, maybe ever in the United States.”

To cover his bases and make it look like he wasn’t getting ahead of himself, Pritzker asserted that Democrats could run on this theme right now.

“So that is one of the things that I think Democrats can run on in ’26,” Pritzker stated.

Chuck Schumer planned to do just that and hammered the alleged “corruption” of the Trump administration in his public remarks.

“Trump is without question the most corrupt president in American history. Trump has betrayed the American people by using our highest office not for the good of country, but to pad his own bank account, at the expense of working families.

Barack Obama yanked the rug right from under his fellow Democrats with his admission that government right now was less corrupt than at any time in history.

Democrats will now have to head back to the drawing board to devise a new closing message to take the voters in the final weeks of the 2026 election.
