The establishment is plotting against Trump from the inside.
Now Trump is aware of the true extent of the treachery, and he’s mad as hell.
And one sinister act of betrayal just hit Trump like a freight train.
A New Threat to Mass Deportations
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has faced intense criticism from the MAGA base over his weak stance on immigration.
Mullin voiced support for amnesty, told Haitian illegal aliens they could apply to remain in the U.S. after President Trump revoked their Temporary Protected Status, and halted vehicle stops, which account for 90% of ICE arrests before President Trump reversed him.
Now, in the heat of the midterm election, the Daily Wire’s Jennifer Taer reported that Homeland Security ended mass deportations by issuing directives to ICE agents that they are only to arrest illegal aliens convicted of a crime.
ICE was ordered to ignore illegal aliens with final orders of removal but who haven’t been found guilty of a crime.
“Federal immigration agents may only arrest illegal immigrants with criminal convictions or charges for the time being, said the sources, who spoke with The Daily Wire on the condition of anonymity. Those who have final deportation orders but lack criminal convictions or charges will not be arrested, they said,” Taer wrote on X.
Taer went on to report that Homeland Security ordered ICE agents to only take the illegal alien convicted of a crime into custody and to ignore other illegal aliens who were the target of the arrest if they encountered them.
The Cause of this Order
Sources within ICE told Taer that Homeland Security issued this guidance because RINO Senators running for re-election hit the panic button and were begging the administration to stop ICE arrest raids.
Kansas Senator Roger Marshall was one of the Republican Senators locked in a tight race demanding ICE back down.
“When ICE operates in Kansas, it needs to coordinate with our local law enforcement. Our sheriffs and police know these communities better than anyone, and working together keeps officers and residents safe,” Marshall posted on social media.
“We believe it has something to do with the midterms coming up,” one ICE agent told Taer. “They’re trying to calm things down before the elections.”
“We’ll see the arrest numbers go down,” a second agent added.
President Trump Reverses This Betrayal
Fox News’s Bill Melugin reported the situation quicky resolved itself as soon as President Trump found out Homeland Security tried to derail mass deportations.
Melugin said it was true that Homeland Security issued a stand-down order to ICE agents, but that President Trump countermanded it and all illegal aliens were subject to arrest and deportation.
“Yes, this verbal guidance did go out to ICE offices across the country last night. I’ve spoken with ICE agents who received it & were shocked & frustrated by it. It’s unclear who it started with. However, I’m told it’s erroneous, was some type of “miscommunication” during conversations about prioritizing “worst first”, and there is no change in immigration enforcement policy. President Trump tells me anyone in the country illegally remains “on the table” for ICE arrest & deportation. I’m also told new guidance went out to ICE field offices tonight to reaffirm this and that yes, arrests of illegal aliens and “collaterals” without additional criminal history will continue. ICE sources confirm to me they received the new guidance,” Melugin wrote.
Melugin went on to say that the administration was on the same page with President Trump’s desire to deport every illegal alien in America.
“I’m not really sure what happened here – but everyone is on the same page, including President Trump, in telling me that his immigration enforcement agenda isn’t scaling back,” Melugin concluded.
