Liberal comedian Bill Maher challenged the left’s anti-Americanism.

The reaction was surprising.

And Bill Maher said two words about Western civilization that made a room full of liberals erupt.

As American Media Watch Dog reports:

Liberals usually complain that American and Western Civilization are systemically racist, sexist, homophobic, and nativist.

The left attacks Western Civilization, the source of the greatest advancements in science and culture in human history, so they can destroy America by importing tens of millions of third-world migrants and imposing a globalist agenda.

Real Time host Bill Maher is not one of those liberals.

On a recent episode of her show, Maher addressed Vice President J.D. Vance traveling to Hungary to campaign for Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a pro-Trump nationalist who fought against the European Union’s scheme to open the borders to millions of Middle East migrants.

During his trip, Vance said the Trump administration stood with the people of Hungary because they stood with Western Civilization against the forces of globalism that are facilitating a Muslim invasion of Europe, which allowed Islam to colonize countries like France and Britain.

Maher praised Vance for staking out this ground.

“But I’ll tell you why he’s sort of popular, and it’s had a lot to do with your book and something I think we both believe in, which is another thing J.D. Vance said, which is that we will stand with you for Western civilization. Now, he goes too far, Viktor Orban, I think, in some of his statements about Western civilization. But I think you and I both believe there is such a thing as Western civilization,” Maher stated.

Maher pointed to the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, when liberals recoiled at the idea that the attacks signaled the start of a clash of civilizations as the start of wokeness.

Maher said there was a clash of civilizations between the West and Islam, and Maher declared that “ours is better.”

At that point, the audience of Los Angeles liberals burst into applause.

“I remember after 9/11, if you said, clash of civilizations, it was the beginning of sort of that wokeness where, oh, don’t say that, that’s Islamophobia. No, it was a clash of civilizations. The civilizations are very different, and ours is better,” Maher exclaimed.

Liberals cheering America was a rare sign.

And Maher had a message for anyone in the crowd who didn’t applaud the fact that the West is superior to Islam, which was to spend some time in an Islamic capital city and see how much tolerance for abortion, homosexuality, and transgenderism they experienced.

“And if you’re not clapping, spend a week in a Muslim capital, you wouldn’t last. Especially as a woman. One guy, thank you,” Maher concluded.
